PapaSop I’m one stop shopping, from meat, booze, medical supplies, to guns and ammunition, I’ve got it all, just bring cold hard cash or gold bars.

I have plenty of all of those (except the cash and gold bars) and refuse to buy into this hoarding concept.

PapaSop Hoarding isn’t helping anyone that I can see…although based on my liquor collection at home it would be easy to accuse me of such. Many delivery services in the area are now including a free roll of toilet paper with orders. There is a store in Pendleton giving tp away with Cannabis sales. lol.

Just grabbed some sale items including some beers that went on sale from the stores recent flier that comes in the paper. This is just a normal thing I do. Saved $57. Did see a lot of empty shelf space and some carts loaded up but… Being just a house of one I don’t need to over buy.

PapaSop I’m in the same boat. I generally only buy what I can carry. I dropped off a large bag of prepared meats (ribs, steak and sausages) to the grandparents today to help them get by. They joked that they’ve been on quarantine for the last 20 years so it’s been a breeze so far. Local Albertson’s and Safeway stores have implemented a senior citizen shopping time of 7-9 each morning. My grandpa said he’s never seen so many old people. lol.

Lol. So true. Just talked to my folks who are in upper 80’s. Said I’m not stopping by for my weekly visit tomorrow. Need anything call. They totally get it. Mom basically said the same thing about the quarantine.👍

macsinsac I did see Kosmos Q yesterday post a video saying that charcoal was going to be the next thing people were going to start hoarding after toilet paper, he said he was getting calls wanting to know if they had charcoal. I’d probably take it with a grain of salt, as its probably more of a marketing ploy in my mind, because I have seen tons of charcoal in the stores I have been in.

this surge is good for business now but when people are stocked up and staying at home everything will come to a grinding halt !

craigrice Hopefully that is when the inspection business (Residential & Commercial) will pick up again. We have lost 10 jobs that we basically had in the hand as of today (during the last month or so). It is insane as we are here to help & ready to go for the most part. Still fairly busy, but hate to see them bail or postpone due to fear & uncertainty. Dave

what I see is a lull in everything till people start using up what they panic bought and boredom /cabin fever sets in then I expect everything slowly get back to normal

Yeah, I will never understand the hoarding mindset at times like these unless your goal is to provide for those in serious need which I guess would mean you aren’t hoarding!

Joe Hell went to Safeway yesterday. There was no flour, sugar or yeast left on the shelves, some corn meal, powdered and brown sugar. They did have bread and chicken seeds (eggs)

I’ve got lots of yeast here, bread, beer, distillers. We are’t going without something to drink or bread to break. I was hoping to get a 10 lb bag of flour and sugar, but the hoarders had other ideas. I’ll hit my secret restaurant store if I need it that bad hoarders can’t get in there without a business license.
