Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

I picked up a few more bottles today for the impending quarantine. As I suspected, the lack of restaurant/bar business has allotted more Weller to the liquor stores.

I agree with popasop list. I have been brewing my own beer for over three decade and making wine over four decades. I like IPAs, but my favorite types are free and cold, LOL. Whiskey and bourbon are my go to followed by vodka and rum. Tequilas and vodkas tend to get me in trouble. The good stuff neat, maybe an ice cube. The cheap stuff used for mixing and cooking.

YooperDog I will second that, although I am not so sure about the Vodka. I have been wanting to brew my own (Beer, wine, & whiskey) for years, but have still never quite got around to getting completely set up. Dave

Joe Hell You gotta stay well-stocked in case you end up like Pennsylvania or Illinois where they had the great idea to shut down all liquor stores!

Hadn’t heard about liquor stores shutting down. OMG, people here in Wisconsin would revolt.🍻 🥃

PapaSop My wife says she heard on the radio that they were going to stop selling guns and/or ammunition but I think that is one of those things people freak about as I have asked our FFL guy and he said it isn’t true.

Yeah Alchohol is one of the few drugs that will kill an addict if you cut off their supply (or so says Joe Rogan!) so making it impossible to get more doesn’t seem wise. I think I get why they are doing it, they don’t want a bunch of people in a stressful situation to sit around and get drunk all-day but they aren’t our parents or loved ones, they don’t get to tell us how to live our lives like that. Ok, mini-rant over.

I hope a lot of you can join us for our mid month special livestream we are doing tomorrow!

Seems like no matter what the crisis/event is they head right to gun shop to stock up. I don’t get it.

Go ahead and rant… No worries. I’m sure there’s an Old Fashined sitting around crying because the supper clubs are closed.

PapaSop The same people that panic and buy guns/ammo tend to be the same ones that gripe when the prices go up based on lack of supply but instead try to blame it on a conspiracy.

Joe Hell Your liver thanks you but you gotta build that tolerance!

Tex_77 Tequila is my favorite liquor, Anejo is what I go for if it isn’t too pricey! For beer I’ve been on a year long Sour kick but I wouldn’t call that my favorite. I HATE IPA’s with an all consuming passion…well that’s over stating it a little but I do not like them! I love almost all Porters and Stouts but I think my overall favorite would be Belgians, Quads specifically but I am not too picky. Favorite of those would probably be a beer called Piraat (yes spelled like that) though these certainly aren’t my every day drinking beers! Favorite easy drinker is New Castle and favorite seasonal is Spaaten Octoberfest or Harpoon winter warmer. I used to manage a beer store in upstate New York, so I still love good beer!

Jonathon I too have no love for IPAs or the people that drink them. Every time I tell some manicured bearded hipster that I prefer a lager to latest micro IPA, I get a look of total disgust like I farted in front of the fist lady. As far as booze goes as an upstate N.Y. boy I love Hudson baby bourbon.

skibumben I’ll have to look for that one! I’ve been a fan of their beers for years. The Black Butte Porter helped shaped my love of beer and passion for brewing.

Bulliet is very good. Have not tried the barrel strength either. Their rye is also good. Though I haven’t mixed one in awhile, either one mixed with ginger ale and a dash of bitters is quite tasty.

I live on a lake in a resort town. Last night 3 houses were robbed ! They emptied out freezers and cupboards, Just took all their food and nothing else. I have a lot of guns no one is getting our food…
