@papasop Found one like that on my end. I selected the down vote and it made the down vote go away on the listing.

As a farmer-hunter most definitely a farm accident. At times they can get way to close for comfort. Usually not the big ones, but they can jump to late to escape. I have run several bambies through the haybine in the spring. Totally ruins the day.

Lol! I saw this on another BBQ page. This used to be true at our house…lol! It was really hard for me to turn our Big Green Egg over to the wife the first time. I was running late for getting home and we had company coming over. She called me and I walked her through the process. She did just fine but it was a little bit of a blow to the ego for me!

@Tex_77 Lol, the platform that’ll never actually happen? No! What we are planning on doing with social media is a huge scale back and basically, just point everyone to meatgistics if they have any questions. We spend too much time helping individual people on social media.

No. Warranty it’s 3 years old. Controller is 140$ and the probe is $18. I ordered them right from pro smoker.

The bulk of my purchases have been equipment upgrades. After stumbling across Walton’s and Meatgistics it kind of got me pumped for doing more home processing. I’m also looking at this as an investment. My kids and grandkids will be using this stuff for years to come. Probably three more pieces to buy. Small kitchen grinder ( Walton’s # 12 ), chambered sealer and the ultimate goal… The PK100 may be a retirement gift to myself.

Okay, we just got power back, I do have a wood burning stove, so warmed the house and cooked inside. Everything is ice. I’m better off than most of Texas. Some have no means of warmth and been without power for 2 days. Feeding whoever I can and giving them a place to warm up. It’s a real learning opportunity for Texas and the rest of the nation to wake up about our grid. Way out of date and we can’t solve it with pipe dreams.

@smokedog I have had great results using smoke tubes filled with wood pellets. All kinds of wood you can use. They last ( depending on the one you use) about 4hours. I place a small piece of foil under it to catch the few ashes.

@JoeB I live in the UP of MI deer up here are a bit larger, but I also I am also in Northern WI and a couple of times a year in west TX. Different types of deer in all places, depending on their environment. A lot of hogs in TX though. Looking at building a Cool bot storage for those pig’s to relax.
