I just purchased a PK100 it looks very well built. I have a couple questions.
The unit keeps shooting way past the set temp by 20+ deg it does not drop that far below the temp. I run a Meater when I did my bacons it really rendered out.
Second is that in book it says only saw dust. Right on the face it says chips and saw dust?

I smoked my snack sticks last night. I used my Meater to watch temps. It works well other than you cant get to far from my PK100 with my phone. I see you can us IPad or another phone. Has any one connected to there Apple Watch? If so how did you do it? I was looking for away but couldn’t figure it out.

Jonathon it would be great if you find away. It would make running smoker over night much better as I wear watch and could leave phone close to smoker.

I cured some bacon and cold smoked it as I was slicing up thought I would try to dehydrate some. I did a couple of trays just the apple cured then made couple trays with a sprinkle of slap your mama. It seams very greasy. I guess I thought some of the fat would render out. Really liked the slap your mama.
