Thanks guys! I have a batch of sticks in now and am going to try the sponge tonight. Hopefully that will help with the stall. So far the summer sausage, sticks, and jerky I have made with this PK 100 have gotten rave reviews from my customers!

What are y’all averaging on cook times for summer sausage in the PK 100? I am following the schedule for drying, smoking, and cooking. I am using a water pan but no sponge yet. Just seems like a long time for them to get to temp. This weekend was my first with the PK 100 so I am still figuring this guy out. Thanks y’all!

Pulled the trigger on a new PK 100 today! Went and picked it and some other stuff up at the store in Wichita. Wish I would have had more time to look around. Any big tips and tricks for this gnarly little smokehouse??

I’ve smoked a couple hundred pounds of snack sticks this year on my traeger. I run them with the grate. It’s kind of a pain but I make them in 30” pieces and fold them in half. They lay perfectly in the grate and I can smoke 20-25lbs at a time depending on if I use the top rack.

I said “this year” I mean this deer season. So since October 1. I have looked at several other smoker options but damn this works pretty slick. Almost no waste when cutting them to vac seal and super straight sticks, every time.

Jonathon dude I have three kids, coach crossfit, coach softball, own a transmission shop and a deer processing business. Time doesn’t exist! Sleep is overrated!!

If you are getting your noise while turning, I would look at wheel bearings. As you turn you are shifting the weight of the vehicle more to one side. If you are turning right and get a noise, suspect the left wheel bearing.
