kyle Taking a break for the long weekend, up at our place in the foothills. Only trouble, it’s raining but we are dry in the fifth wheel and we have our covered 30x30 area with the fire pit right next to it. It is cold though with the rain, sweatshirt weather and the mosquitos are out.

kyle A couple of pictures from yesterday of everyone bundled up. It never really got above 55 degrees and the sun came out for about an hour. It’s been fun though. KIMG0482.JPG KIMG0480.JPG

johnsbrewhouse Camping in 55 degrees is much more pleasant than 95 degrees.
You can always put on another layer of clothing in cool weather.
You can only take off so much in hot weather and still maintain community standards for decency. 😉

processhead One good thing even with warm weather, we have 6 acres all to ourselves. Just have to be observant of the grandkids when it comes to taking off to many clothes. I don’t think I’ll be showing to much skin anyhow. The grandkids hit the creek since it never gets above 50 degrees

processhead Then add humidity & you understand why we have not gotten out in a long time, unless we take a longgggggg road trip. We were just talking about that yesterday.

calldoctoday my granddaughter went into the creek yesterday for a wheelbarrow ride from her dad, she is 11, almost 12. It was cold since the source is snowmelt. That kid loves that creek, along with the dogs.

processhead I completely agree, being retired army I have “camped” from below 0 to well into the 100’s and I don’t care how many clothes you take off it is still hot!

Yep, and the only thing worse than being hot is being hot and sunburnt.

Just finishing up my planting. Had a hard freeze the 22nd of May so have waited for the soil to warm up. Beans and corn are soaking so will get planted in the morning. Then finish up with the squash.

wdaly going to get my garden in this weekend if its dry enough. 5 and a half inches in a week is a bit much. Still in the low 40’s at night but hoping it warms up soon
