In Sept of 1976, I had a full leg cast and was on crutches. I came home with my first Weber 22" kettle. Not employed and no time soon, Momma Gave Me, HE double ll! a year later she made the comment “That has to be the best investment you have ever made!”
Fast forward to July 1979, after issues with previous broken bones, I had both feet in a cast this time. One was non bearing. Again no work in the foreseeable future, I came home with the rotisserie for said kettle. BOOM! She went off once again!
And about a couple of years later same thing happened, “That has to be the best investment you have ever made!”
Now fast forward to more present day, she just rolls her eyes and thinks, what is he dragging home now, just more boy toys? I sure haven’t given her any disappointments yet (according to her!)

@dennyo it really is the reason we all do this. We make great food to feed our family and friends and of course ourselves. It just takes the better half a little time to come around to realize our vision, or maybe we just like buying cool stuff and great food is the by product. Either way, happy wife happy life!
