Gift cards

Austin and Jonathon the only thing I asked for Christmas from my family was Walton’s gift cards, but then found out you guys don’t have gift cards. Just wondering why and if it’s something you could do in the future.

Tex_77 I was trying to figure out how to highlight names like you did in the post so Austin and Jon would get a notification.How do you do that with a new topic? And thanks for doing it in your post so they would get it

kyle this is something we should have done by now… We were supposed to rollout a new website already, but I had to delay until the first of the year for a number of reasons. I will do some looking tomorrow if there is something we can do as an interim solution for gift cards (maybe a more manual process on our side instead of automatic). Maybe I can get creative and work up a temporary solution…

Also to tag someone just type an “at” symbol (@) and then the username.

Austin thanks. I think they would be a big hit for the hard to buy for people. As long as its done by next Christmas, that would be great. I told my brother cash will be fine and it will for sure find its way to your store. Also thanks for the help with the name thing. You too Tex_77.

Austin my brother called me tonight and said he called waltons today to get me gift cards for Christmas. The lady told him that they do not have gift cards available. It was my understanding after we talked about this last year that you guys were going to try and get them. I have been wrong before but I thought you guys even gave some away in a monthly drawing. If you dont have any, I think your missing out on some sales, if you do have them, whoever my brother talked to was not aware of them. Jonathon I’m tagging you also on this. Thanks

Jonathon I have inquired on this as well, last I knew I think they were in store use only possibly. I know my wife has wanted to buy me some in the past, because she is the greatest.

Jonathon I’m guessing no gift cards again this year. I hope this is something yourself and Austin can work on before next Christmas. I would think most of us in this community and Waltons would benefit from them.

even if not a physical card, do a code system similar to amazon that can be printed out

kyle yeah we just talked with Austin and there may be a way to do this as a one off. Ridley Acres That would cause our accounting department to hate us. i “Think” I have it figured out for a one off for now but I will let everyone know later! Sorry guys, the website just doesn’t let us do everything we were hoping it would at this point.

Jonathon no sweat, I actually enjoy this process of watching you guys grow and being a part of the process a little bit via this community is really neat.
