reillyranch You’re just a bit over a stone’s throw from me. Hard to find your XL PREMIUM LUMP CHARCOAL or COMPETITION CHAR-LOGS anywhere near Sealy. Do you sell from your location large orders, like a pallet or some other bulk packaging?

Hello Chef, Sealy is really close to the factory and you are right down the street from Academy Sports HQ which is one of our biggest customers. Unfortunately we are not set up for individual sales at this time. B&B Char-logs are a patented product that we make from the smaller fines of the briquettes. They are extruded at 3x the PSI as the briquettes so they are very dense and burn hot! Currently there is a tremendous demand for our charcoal products and we have increased production almost 40%. But the demand is up 60% so many consumers are finding empty shelves. One option is to order on line at Ace Hardware main website, they will deliver it for free to the nearest Ace Store. Thanks for choosing B&B!

Chef have you had good luck with the char logs? I haven’t tried them yet.

reillyranch Just heard you on the Butcher BBQ Podcast, I really appreciated learning more about your products and how they are made. I’m sure Jonathon and Austin would love to get you on the Meatgistics Podcast sometime!

Tex_77 the char logs are a bit harder to start, but much hotter and much longer burns. I find it cheaper in the long run. At this point I’m trying to stockpile a supply, believing there are going to be many people, especially in my small community, that will be hurting. I bit of warm food and a shoulder to lean on can help many people. Hope I don’t need to go there, but just in case…

I have heard the quote “cooks care”, and I think that goes double for outdoor cooks. Nobody cooks outdoors just for themselves, there is always family, friends, team or the community nearby. That smoky flavor spreads out through the neighborhood stirring up appetites and putting everyone in a good mood. Thank you bringing the B&B family along.

Chef yes sir I understand completely. We were swept by wildfires a few years ago, and we provided food to some families who lost everything and seeing the devastation on thier faces hurt. The smile on thier faces from a hot meal though, that was priceless.

Hello, Thank you for all the kind words about B&B Charcoal products. We are a family owned business based in Texas and established in 1961. We make our products differently and that makes all the difference in the food you prepare. Charcoal and wood fuel is the last ingredient but the first flavor, you can smell that smoky goodness before you take a bite. B&B hand selects species specific wood from private farmers to ensure the highest quality charcoal is made for you. Our briquettes are made exclusively from our oak lump process. We collect the smaller fines and compress the char into large heavy briquettes. We never mix hardwoods, never use industrial scrap wood, never use chemicals or minerals. You’ll always get consistent BTU’s and predictable smoke profile with B&B products. Not all charcoal is made equal, quality matters.

Hello Cdavis, thank you for your support! The big charcoal companies don’t want you to know what’s in their products so they never talk about it. The B&B difference is real and that story needs to be told. The small particulates that form the smoke that bathes your food is ingested into your body. It should matter were it was sourced and what is or isn’t added to it. B&B charcoal products are 100% natural pure wood products, it makes a difference. Thank you for choosing B&B!

Tex_77 I’m a big fan of the Char-Logs for long cooks. I picked some up on a lark a couple years ago, and I was sold from the start.

reillyranch It’s good to have you aboard! I’ve been a fan of B&B for some time and recently decided to stick with B&B exclusively for a brand (to the extent I can).

I’ve even visited your plant, but that might have been as long as 10 or 15 years ago. I bet y’all look a little different, now!
