Jonathon the wife and I had some friends who lived in phoenix for 20 years and his work offered him moving expenses and more on his retirement if he would move so at the beginning of winter they moved to Alaska and they stayed till he retired they loved it up there

Hey - How do I get Waltons to ship USPS to AK? I just called the other day and it was $65 for 3 packages of seasoning and casing. I mentioned to lady it would be great if they could ship USPS to AK. I ordered it and had to use a freight forwarding company so it will take much longer and a little more money (but not $65) to get here. Thanks

MAD KK I thought Austin set up USPS to Alaska about a year ago, reference AKDave. You might want to tie out with Austin and see if it is still available.

Not exactly related to the OP’s concern, but sort of.
I do a lot of buying and selling from individuals who may be infrequent sellers and not set up for prepaid shipping labels. For those not familiar with them, you can set up a free account with USPS, Fedex, or UPS and purchase prepaid shipping labels on line.
For the convenience of sellers, and to get the best shipping rate for me, I will often offer to email the seller a prepaid shipping label that he can print out and slap on the box with my purchase. The seller can then just drop off at the post office or Fedex store without waiting in line. This gives me a choice on shipping and usually a better price than the seller can get. It gives the seller the convenience of not having to figure out shipping rates and logistics. Win-Win.

To make it even more convenient if it is a priority or express mail product they will come to you for the pickup saving the trip to the post office.
