So, normally I would wait to fit this intoa larger post but I really don’t want to wait at all! I set up Jambalaya Brat today! Ill post a pic of the usage in a second, it is on my phone and I am on the computer. It has no image yet but our Creative Design department will remedy that shortly and I CAN"T wait to see what everyone makes with this one. We might even do some sort of hashtag campaign across facebook and instagram and the “winner” would get something…we’d have to make sure we had the rules correct but I’m sure I could talk Austin into either a coupon of some sort or some walton’s gear for the winner?

We can do a coupon for $50 off the next order for whomever the winner is. We can setup a crazy sale price on it too for being a new/special item. Then, we just need a set of guidelines on how to enter. Seems like the rules for Instagram are pretty easy to follow if you want to run a promo there. Might send out an email on it too, to really drum up the competition!

craigrice Yes, it should be live on the website shortly! I have not had time to try to make it yet though. Keep an eye on our Thanksblackmonday for sales! It will absolutely be on the website by then and almost surely earlier than that!

Okay, Taco is live too https://www.waltonsinc.com/taco-snackstick it is not searchable yet, it will take a little time for that to load but it is purchasable right now! Keep an eye out for our Instagram competition on this and the Jambalaya seasoning, we aren’t 100% sure what the winner will get but it will be (at least) a pretty good coupon that you can use on some Christmas Presents because I know all of your Wives, Husbands or children are BEGGING for a collection of snack stick bratwurst, or jerky seasonings or a Stuffer to be under the tree!

craigrice Okay, I just made some Taco Snack Sticks for a guy who got a deer and was going to make snack sticks anyway so he “let” me make them for him! Well, I am glad we agreed to the taco seasoning because if it is that good with venison it is going to be out of this world with pork or beef!

I added 25% straight pork fat, used Hi temp Cheddar Cheese, Sure Gel (what I would always recommend for wild game) and I didn’t want the tangt of Encapsulated Citric Acid with a taco flavor so I measured out less than a gram of Sodium Erythorbate. One person said they still tasted a tang but I didnt pick it up at all.

Anyway, one of my top 10 seasonings for sure, maybe top 5?

Austin Jonathon is there a specific type of ham that needs to be used for this brat? ie. a whole ham, restructured ham, etc?

Jonathon could you use smoked meat stabilizer on the taco if you wanted to make snack sticks? That way you could stuff and smoke in the same day?

@NDMike Yes you could do that with Smoked Meat Stabilizer, just don’t add it to standing water, its okay to add it to meat and then add your water but don’t add the smoked meat stabilizer to water and then add it to your meat. It gasses off too quickly and can be dangerous.

Tex_77 as much as i love SPAM in Kraft macaroni and cheese id say stay away from the cheap stuff for brats…lol. I bought a half package of ham what im assuming you are calling restructured and coarse ground it. Wonder how it would be in small cubes
