Anyone have any fan favorite jerky seasoning flavors from Walton’s to use with goose meat?

Lmick1979 I’m not sure about how it would pair with goose but the dill pickle flavoring is oddly interesting. It’s not the first flavor profile that comes to mind when I think jerky but everyone that tries it is more than impressed.

Lmick1979 I would vote Willie’s mix! That is the best stuff I have ever used.

deplorablenc1 How would you describe the Willie’s mix? There is zero info in the description of the product. Is it sweet, savory, spicy, etc.?

Joe Hell my description would be, a mild slim jim (original) flavor with a small pop of heat at the end. Not over powering heat or seasoning. My favorite part is it is not salty like most mixes .

deplorablenc1 Thanks! It sounds like a somewhat standard, tried and true snack stick flavor then. I’ve yet to read any negative reviews. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a Slim Jim now that I think about it. I never trusted their spokesperson, Randy “Macho Man” Savage. lol.

If you’ve never tried a slim jim, don’t. Then again maybe you should…You’ll know why you do your meat processing.

PapaSop ha! That’s also part of the reason why I’ve never tried them!

Joe Hell yes I agree the dill pickle is surprisingly good, as is the willies. I used the Colorado bold and was good. I am going to try the garlic and pepper. The pickle is awesome with snack sticks with elk.

Lmick1979 Our old store room manager used to make goose sticks out of the habanero stick seasoning and it was excellent! The habanero is hot but not burning hot if you like a little heat. Pair that with some cheese like the Cheddar to cut the heat or the ghost pepper cheese to seriously increase the heat!

I agree on Willies, it is a HARD one to describe because you do sort of want to say slim jim but for most people that associates it with something that they don’t like and that’s unfair because it is delicious!
