If anyone was a fan of the original, or just wants to see an awesome fun military-based movie I HIGHLY recommend it. Bonus points to anyone who knew who Jennifer Connely’s character was supposed to be!
Only thing that sort of made it odd was the enemy country was never named. I get why they did it but still seemed an odd choice. Like, you knew this wasn’t getting showing in China, why not just make them the bad guys?

Jonathon I agree! It was the best movie I have seen in a long time. And I caught the reference to the Admiral’s daughter right away.

ND Mike I worked in the technical field, we worked on electronics for fighter aircraft and helicopters. I told people to watch top gun to show what I was working on. We put electronics in the Tom Cat along with most of the fighter jets made since then, along with bombers, transport and numerous helicopters.

ND Mike It was very interesting, we worked on cutting edge technology and actually got to talk to many pilots over the years. Also had an Oh-58 and an AH64 Apache land in our parking lot and we were allowed to go out and look them over.
