Search not working?

There is definitely something different going on, in different ways, & doing different things, some good, some I am not so sure about. I wish I could say exactly what it is. Hopefully the true wizards will have a solution this week.

It seems the search function is not working properly. It looks like it is only returning results from recent post. Brat only returned 5 post, all posted within the last week. Salami only 1 post. Checked the advanced settings and even hit clear preferences.

Grimpuppy calldoctoday Chef I read elsewhere today on the site that Austin Jonathon are working issues and Jonathan is looking at some kind of reboot tomorrow morning.

Chef I may be in just about the same boat as you now, but not 100%, it is hit &miss I am finding. Also, the unread topics at the upper left hand disappeared. We hope you & your family had a nice Thanksgiving Holiday & you did not have to work too hard.

calldoctoday I have the same, but if you select the ‘topic’ button on the left a drop down menu appears and you can select’unread’. Hope that helps a bit.

So, there has been a problem with search for the last…I don’t know how long! It has not been indexing entire categories for search. That makes sense, I know not all Podcast episodes I was looking for were showing up. I am reindexing it right now and hopefully search will work better in the future.

So, there has been a problem with search for the last…I don’t know how long! It has not been indexing entire categories for search. That makes sense, I know not all Podcast episodes I was looking for were showing up. I am reindexing it right now and hopefully search will work better in the future.
Jonathon You’ll probably have to make all other groups besides “everyone” siblings of that group for the database to pick them up.

FYI. Just tried a search and came up with hits from four years back.
Seems to work on my end. -
They did something after I first posted this that seemed to have fixed it for me. Mine has been working for quite a while now.
