Our newest edition. This is Birdie. She is 5/8 GSP and 3/8 Lab. We got her from the same people that we got our other hunting dogs from. So far so good…but there will be some sleepless nights as we crate train her and potty train her.

ND Mike That is a fine looking pup and a mix of my two favorite dog breeds. I have to agree with processhead that she will grow into those paws she has. How is the snow up your way today? I heard I-94 was closed from Dickinson to Montana border.

Spidey thanks. We were lucky here in Bismarck. Just a trace of snow. Ours was mostly rain.

bocephus my wife was dead set against another one. It was hard on her when we lost Moxie our oldest dog last summer. But this was her idea!!!

Birdie looks great! I am sure she will become a loving companion and has the lineage to be a great upland hunter. Those front paws look like she also will also be growing into a big ol girl.
processhead thats what I’m thinking too. If she is anything like our Moxie that we lost last Summer she will be a great pheasant dog.

ND Mike nice looking pup, they are always nice to have around, they for sure will keep you busy and bring some laughter from their antics and personality. We put off for two years after losing three dogs in three years, but it’s nice hear those four paws trotting around the house.

YooperDog I agree. In my adult life I have never not had a dog. I can’t imagine not having a dog. Sometimes they are inconvenient but no matter what, the loyalty and personality of a dog make all the hardships worth it.

Growing pups are interesting with all their goofy body proportions. Notice how the pup’s ears are almost the same size as the Old Man’s adult ears.Doesn’t take long before everything else catches up.
