Loyal kitchen helpers.

kyle this was a great dog. She definitely loved helping out with any project. Borders have that protective/hurding DNA, which makes them very loyal and always looking for a job to do. My oldest son has been blacksmithing as a hobby for quite awhile. She would set on the edge of the barn while he worked, making sure he was OK. It could be raining or snowing sideways and she would lay there with her head up keeping watch. She really loved ground deer meat. It was one of the few things that could make her lose concentration.

GWG8541 what a great picture. Beautiful dog. We had a assie blue healer mix, almost too smart. When our son was little, his friends would run around our yard, and the dog would r un circles around them “hearding” them.

Love having dogs around, they have been a part of my life since I was a kid. I have had Labs for over thirty years now, with a Brittany in the mix just for good measure. Train them for hunting but they are also part of the family.

cdavis Great pics. Guys your killing me. I lost my Border Collie last year and we haven’t had the heart to get another dog yet. Miss that girl. God’s gifts to man are definitely dogs.
GWG8541 I agree with you. Dogs make the world a better place!

So Jonathon mentioned people looking but not posting. Thought I would revive this thread so new people could get involved in just some fun things we do here. You need to know nothing about sausage to post a picture of your favorite kitchen helper.

A dog’s dream…“Dang, I wish they had pheasants in Texas” -
HerbcoFood Owned a Brittany with three Labs. She ruled the roost, everyone said she was going to be a handful, but she was very easy going in the house, but when she did want some attention she would demand it.

Beautiful Dogs, each & every one of them. I wish we could post a photo of our last Healer, Duke. But, we lost him a few years ago & just have not yet found a replacement this time around. He was some kind of Dog & I would swear at times he was half Human!

A dog’s dream…“Dang, I wish they had pheasants in Texas”processhead There are up in the panhandle, just the wild birds are few and far between. But you can go on canned hunts if you want. I’ve hunted them in South Dakota before and I don’t think I’d ever hunt them further south than Kansas.

bocephus She’s 6 months old so there are times when she has got the zoomies she can be pretty annoying. I am sending her off to retrieval school in June to be ready to fetch my dove for me come September 1!

HerbcoFood that dog looks like it is suspecting you of stealing it’s favorite toy or something! Gorgeous though, and he/she is pretty confident that the couch is theirs and they just let you sit on it!

HerbcoFood Hopefully she will be all you want. Hopefully you can find some quail, they are really something to see on point.

HerbcoFood good looking

Absolutely wonderful post Kyle, thank you everyone for the beautiful pictures, you really made me smile. This is my very loving and loyal side kick that would walk every step with me if she could, she is 15 years old and very near the end of her journey, 1st pic. Unfortunately we buried our 16 year old Rat Terrier last fall, 2nd pic.
