YooperDog TenkaraUSA is where I picked that rod up. There is a kid on youtube who fishes with that style of rod, he peaked my interest. I’ve got a fly rod but just struggle with adding line and casting, this is supposed to be more intuitive to learn. TenkaraAddict is the channel on youtube, I believe.

LOL. Still have the 202 in a cabinet somewhere. All I used as a kid. A quick search say’s they still make it. Unreal.

PapaSop All I used growing up until I was about out of high school with Zebco 33 and 733. I hauled a lot of pounds of catfish and bass in with them. They sure don’t make them like they use to.

Only worked four hours at work yesterday and decided it was just too nice to not go fishing one last time before the shores open up and you won’t be able to get out on the ice. Temps were in the upper 40s with lots of sunshine. I met my brothers and one niece and my only nephew. We cooked sausage on the ice and caught lots of fish. Lots of small perch and I caught one small walleye. The air was full of the sounds of Spring. Geese flying and honking and roosters (pheasant) sounding off! It was a great day and one that refreshed the soul!20220318_172606.jpg 20220318_180350.jpg 20220318_150711.jpg 20220318_164423.jpg

ND Mike Just returned from a trip to MN, the temp. got down to -20 when we got there but warmed up to 40s when we left, ice and snow was melting. Saw all kinds of wildlife, deer, swans, ducks, geese and quite a few bald eagles. On the drive across Neb., I saw that the snow geese were headed north.
