Nice! I made 4 big strips last night with meat left over after making snack sticks with Willie’s seasoning. I just rolled then pressed it out on cutting board, ran knife under it to unstick, plopped onto screen. Turned out great, loved the flavor. But your way looks easier, and could fit more in! I will try it!

Hey those screen trays look great, where are they from? I like the size, oes Walton’s have those?

Anyone making ground meat jerky without a gun or stuffer? I prefer this method myself : Roll the meat mixture out on parchment (I used the fruit roll tray as a mould for size and shape). Flip out onto oiled dehydrator tray. Dehydrate until firm. Cut into strips and continue dehydrating until finished. No gun or stuffer to clean.20211209_095446.jpg

Deepwoodsbutcher great idea. Was looking at a jerky gun but that looks even faster. I will definitely have to try it.

samspade I made a nozzle to extrude a ribbon of jerky from my 5 lb sausage stuffer. It’s easy to load the dehydrator trays

Dave in AZ My dehydrator is a Cosori 6 tray. Came with these trays, and plastic screen too. I use it constantly. It’s a great unit.

A few years ago I replaced the deteriorating plastic trays in my old Excalibur with stainless, big improvement

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day
Teach a man to fish and he drinks beer for a lifetime
