My toy I sold a couple years ago to buy a new truck(f250)
was a 65 mustang fastback, and my other one that I still have is a 36 chevy truck.

johnsbrewhouse I miss the car, but I worked hard to be totally debt free by the age of 40. We needed a new truck and didn’t want to borrow the money. Might have been a mistake
kyle We all have those things we give up to achieve our dreams. One day you’ll own another. That’s where I am with my Bronco, I sat for twenty years before I started back working on it. I still have thoughts of selling it since I can get more money for it than I paid for it. I did that with my 1979 DT 175 I bought brand new, sold it a couple years ago for twice as much as I paid for it.

was a 65 mustang fastback, and my other one that I still have is a 36 chevy truck. kyle That is a real nice truck you have or had there. You do not see those very often, much less in that condition. My Dad had one about like that when we lived on the farm & even as a little kid I was upset when he got rid of it for a new one. I went ahead & pretty much gave my old Jeep away last year as it just got where I did not have the proper time for it & the proper place to keep it & there was a young guy that had been just about begging me for it for years & had much better resources & energy to keep up with it. I am loosing little slivers a little at a time.

kyle That is a real nice truck you have or had there. You do not see those very often, much less in that condition. My Dad had one about like that when we lived on the farm & even as a little kid I was upset when he got rid of it for a new one. I went ahead & pretty much gave my old Jeep away last year as it just got where I did not have the proper time for it & the proper place to keep it & there was a young guy that had been just about begging me for it for years & had much better resources & energy to keep up with it. calldoctoday I still have the truck, I only sold the mustang. The truck I got from a buddys wife after he passed away. It had been in their family since almost new. The stories and memory of my buddy would make it hard for me to get rid of

was a 65 mustang fastback, and my other one that I still have is a 36 chevy truck. kyle I had a blue 65 fastback, but it was stolen. Got 69, my brother hit a dump truck. Bought 70 Firebird, engine fire on the way to winter storage, total loss. Bought a 68 Dodge Charger, sold it to pay for school. Just no luck holding on to anything fast.

My very first car was a new 1990 Jeep YJ. Red with tan interior and top(s). Sold when I went to college and funny enough the person that bought it went to same college so used to see it on campus now and then. Many years later started seeing it in Chicago (Bucktown) where I lived. Had 2 very distinct dents that made it easy to identify.

Ken1261 Small dent on upper-middle passenger door rear corner under the antennae mount by chance? LOL Perhaps the tricked out “wood” dash bezel I added?

69 Chevy pickup was my first vehicle, you could sit on the cab and not dent it. I sure miss that truck.

bocephus 65 Chevy Biscayne 250-6, 3 on the column; 66 Chevy SS 396, 4 on the floor; 70 Plymouth Roadrunner 440 Mag & a six pack, 4 on the floor (later put a 72 same engine in it); 70 Pontiac Lemans Sport Deluxe, 350, Automatic on the floor; 78 Toyota Celica Supra I think it was the 20 R, five speed; Chevy heavy half, 350 (tricked that one out good), automatic. In that order from first to modern. Everything after that was modern day for certain along with a few play toys along the way. Those were the days & I could not even come close today. My wife cries every time we visit an antique muscle car museum.

Jamieson22 sorry no dent and stock dash. It was painted with bed liner, took me several days and solvent to take it off.

Just think back in the day we had better cars and music and you could afford a tank of gas and a six pack on a Friday night
gus4416 Life was simple, then in the early 80’s when ol Dan Rostenkowski said he was going to make everything simpler & less costly. Do you remember, it has been getting worse ever since, although I don’t believe it was all his fault. Life was good & simple & you could afford a whole lot more with the good money you made. I better not get myself & everyone started…

gus4416 Bottle of Boones Farm and a case of beer and we had a good time on Friday or Saturday night in the summer.
