Sitting out with the front loader this evening. Nice afternoon, 40 degrees and not too much wind.
processhead that is a dang nice view there. Perfect place to spend some time!

Several of us had some luck hunting Southwest Nebraska pheasants and quail yesterday. Bumped several nice mule deer bucks and a few coyotes while walking the canyons. I don’t know how many miles we logged but my feet and legs says its quite a few.
Great time getting together with some old and newer friends for this hunt and the gracious land owner who gave us permission to hunt his property. Really look forward to this every year.
processhead Very nice bounty there sir. Time to rest a bit and gain that strength back.

Here is why the number of deer are down in north Wi. My son took this pic on sun of opening weekend . I cant even tell you how many hours I have sat between bow, gun and now muzzle loader to see only 5 deer . I’m sitting in the stand right now with the smoke pole hoping the fresh snow and below zero temps get them moving.kyle said in What are you hunting/fishing?:

A couple of family units need to be shipped down state and then we will see how fast things change.

twilliams I needed a place I could hunt when my kids were 4 years old so I built this and gladly use it to this day. I’m like you. When it’s warmer weather I’m in a treestand.

Went goose hunting yesterday, saw lots of Canadas but none in range. Learned something about their flight path, they are in trouble next time out.
