craigrice same here. My occupation had a rather high divorce rate. Im one of those weird guys that enjoyed spending time with my wife and family. She is a Saint for putting up with me for over 3 decades.

It takes commitment, understanding, patience, communication, hard work, respect and trust from both committed parties to make it happen. Boy I just kept thinking of more things to add to that list. I think we all know now that there will always be challenges, but working together helps share the load and how lucky we are to have chosen those who stand beside us.

RON PARRISH there is an elk ranch in the New Paris, Ohio area. They sell vac sealed meat. Its kind if pricey, but it would give you a chance to try it if your up to the drive. I believe the name is Quiet Harmony Elk ranch.

I love fishing for trophy bluecats. I also do some guiding on the weekends. Here are some of the fish we catch at Milford lake in Kansas.

Grimpuppy crazy size fish. Are the large ones good to eat? I bet folks get pretty excited seeing them break the surface.

YooperDog I have a rule on my boat that anything over 10 pounds gets released. Most of the sport fisherman on the lake go by the same rule. Milford is truly a trophy bluecat lake and we need to keep them trophy breading genes in the lake.

Grimpuppy I bet those cats put up a heck of a fight, I remember when I was young and caught a big one and had to drag it up on the bank to land it, was like pulling in a log in fast current.

I have read that beef processors spray the carcass with a vinegar solution to inhibit bacteria growth. Wondering if others do this with their game meats?

Doesn’t walton’s have a product for this? I’ve never used anything similar to that before but I’m sure many do.

RafterW from what I’ve read they take regular distilled white vinegar which is usually about 5% and add water 1:1 to dilute to 2.5%.
