I love the idea of the 1/2" drive. So then then you could run your stuffer with one of these. 🙂Screenshot_20210426-080454_Chrome.jpg

Miket482000 while not common, there are deep 8 point sockets available.

ive thought of this too. i am able to clamp the crank side of mine so on the up stroke it doesnt lift the stuffer which works fine but i totally see your point.

opah73 It is not just the lifting it is also more difficult to operate on the up stroke of the crank. Many times I am operating by my self and it is a pain, but when I have a helper they are not always even able to turn it in that fission. So my objective is to just make it easier to operate for me or a child or someone that just is not as capable.

johnsbrewhouse LOL not going to buy a whole set to be sure. If there is a place to get individual socket i would give it a try, but they don’t seem to be any different than the 8 point impact sockets I already have.

IVERYAN even in the slowest setting im in belief that the impact would run too fast , have too much torque and you would tear the gears into smitherings

twilliams It would at the very least apply way to much tork which would be very likely to damage the gears to be sure.

johnsbrewhouse They don’t have a deep well socket in that format, I guess I can try a standard, but it will not fit very far onto the shaft stud which gives me pause as to if it will not strip the stud.

Miket482000 I have a set of standard deep. So at least at one time they did make them. Maybe an old pawn shop. Or eBay. they’re out there somewhere…,

Miket482000 Apparently, the new ones on line are impact sockets. Same thing, just thicker walls. That should work. Most auto part shops should carry them.

Chef I did not say that they did not make them, I said that I do not see where I can by just one socket! I am not going to buy a whole set of sockets, especially when I have a set of deep impact sockets already they are just not 8 point!!

Miket482000 if you are looking for just one socket check out an auto parts store. E.g NAPA, etc…

Would even avoid hitting your arm when holding the casing to get filled .
