Jonathon Austin It was a week of testing if my hip would hold up and that was “somewhat”, not listening to all the political rhetoric (only very minor occurrences), playing cards, smoking cigars and definitely tasting a number of different whiskeys/bourbons. Now, back to reality, washing, cleaning the clubs and physically taking a break before the hip fails me. I can now go see the doc next week with better info and a clear mind for the replacement discussion. Hoping you guys at least get a break from “implementation syndrome”. Usually, it took me 2 weeks to calm down after that process. Then, Phase 2 kicks in. Yep, it’s not over. YET. Very few glitches have reared their ugly heads and that’s a good thing. Just have fun with it or it will leave tire tracks.

Jonathon Having a problem with badges. When i go to profile-edit-badges i see the badges and can order them in the highlighted box. there are no ck boxes for display, and the only one that shows up on the blog is the 2nd one from the top inside the box. Whatever i move to the 2nd line is displayed. Not a high priority on the list of world problems, but it is a glitch. As you mentioned, the auto badge award is not working. Thanks

JoeB Use the “Ctrl” key to individually highlight them and then save. They will show up on your profile. Acts the same as a check box.

I just went to my profile to see if I could get the regular contributor badge. Which I can’t. Anyway I figured out that I owe 50 members of this great community an apology. It shows that I have down voted 50 posts on here. I feel everyone on here is entitled to their opinion. Whether I agree or not I would never down vote someone’s opinion on a subject. All I can figure is I accidentally hit it while scrolling through the posts on my phone. It has a very sensitive screen. So if I have down voted you I sincerely apologize and believe me it was an accident. Jonathan is there a way you can remove those. I upvote alot of posts but never down voted. I don’t think it should even be on there.

cdavis…I just checked my profile and found that I had down voted 3 posts. I did not do this on purpose. It must be a sensitivity issue with phones like you said. I went to the posts and changed them. 3 was easy. 50 might be challenging. It will show up as a -1 fyi.

When I use my phone, I am lucky if I can even send a post, let alone avoid the down-vote icon.

I went and checked just now. I noticed I accidentally down-voted Papasop in a post I don’t even recall ever reading. You should have to confirm a down-vote selection before it goes through.

processhead I agree. Maybe this is something Jonathon could change…especially for the down vote. I can’t imagine too many people on here would intentionally down vote a post!

cdavis got o your profile and hit the 3 vertical dots. It will show a heading called down votes. Go to each one and change your vote.

@ndmike processhead Being an administrator on many platforms, I would think only an Admin could locate/count the number of thumbs down votes in the database and who did them. Good luck finding them all. Also, for the reason you gave regarding “phones”, I now only post when I’m on the PC. One day, I did 3 down thumbs and corrected them that same day on the PC manually. Admins can make it more recognizable on the Non-PC versions of the site with a “verification” popup when someone does a “thumbs down” vote. While they’re at it, they can synch that “call” on the PC version of the site also. It’s should be a quick code change. But, in IT, they try to say everything takes 40 hours to accomplish and have proved them wrong many times doing it on the fly during a meeting.

Ok, here is how I just removed a down-vote. Go to your profile, find your down-votes list. Select one of the posts you down-voted and go to it. You can click on the down-vote arrow that you originally selected and select it again to remove the vote. Just did it and it works.
