LEM stuffer casing question

I have a LEM stuffer and the tubes come in inch dimensions.
What size casing, 19 or 21 mm, will fit on my 1/2" OD- 3/8" ID tube?Thanks

Thanks Glen, but a simple conversion is not the answer. While 19mm casings easily fit over a 1/2" tube when stretched out, the question is more centered around will the stacked, compressed, “out the the bag” casing slip in the tube. Not having any 21 or 19 mm collagen casing on hand to measure the inside diameter of the “out of package” casings, its hard to tell.
Several times I have heard Johnathan state that a 21 mm will fit over a 12 mm tube; I question if that is 12 mm ID or OD.
So, I will rephrase my question, Does anyone know what the ID of the 21 mm collagen casing and the ID of the 19 mm collagen casings are when they come out of the package, ready to slip on the stuffing tube? Mm or inch dimensions will be fine.Thank you

glen I just made a batch of sticks with 19 mm and they would not fit on my 1/2 inch tube without stretching them out first

RON PARRISH Yes, I use 19mm casing on my 1/2" tube and have to stretch them out
I had some 17mm casings I was able to fit on the 1/2" tube but it was enough of a struggle I won’t do it again -

Mike Sample the tube I use for 19mm cases measures 0.480”. For smaller or irregular shapes or sizes it measures 0.430” I have a LEM stuffer and made my own tubes a little over 10” long to accommodate the full length of collagen cases

Here’s the deal. If the casing doesn’t fit on your stuffing tube use a smaller stuffing tube. You may get a little backlash but that’s ok. As long as it slides on easily you should be good to go.

I am interested in what you used to make your own stuffing tube.
I have cut and melted a 3/8 tube to fit my omcan stuffer, but its not long enough to fit even 1/2 sleeve of collagen casings. -
I made a small diameter stuffer tube to use with small casings. It worked but my old enterprise stuffer had way to much back pressure working against that small tube. Had to make a longer handle just to crank the stuffer.

Another source are golf club shafts. Use silver solder to join the lengths to large stainless washers that fit on the outlet of the stuffer

PapaSop, wish it was that easy. 1/2” is the smallest I have. Would like to use the 19 mm but looks like I’ll just use the 21mm.

Mike Sample lem makes a 12mm horn…I use the 12mm horn on my lem for 19mm casings you have to unravel the casing to get it to fit on the horn can get quite a bit of the casing on it… it’s 6-8 inches long… you can’t just slide it on it doesn’t fit. That’s just what I do not sure if they make a smaller horn or not say a 10mm…planning on making some sticks tomorrow

Mike Sample To answer you ? completely. Neither. Walton’s has a chart on there website.
