Chef I have read allot about those reaper peppers. They are ridiculous. Like a drop of extract would heat several gallons with of liquid. The creator eats them whole. Apparently if you eat stuff that hot you become tolerant over time. Probably scars your taste buds.

    Scars the “other” end too!

@Fat-Bob That’s why you always have ice cream after hot peppers, so when you are sitting there in pain, you can scream “come on ice cream…”

Chef Well those are the two things its hard to find substitutions for. I can make beer but thats a couple weeks at best. Cloth diapers would signify the end of the world as far as I’m concerned.

pr0wlunwoof Understand. But thinking about it, there are a few others things that are needed, just this is a family posting. Not going to let the censor god get me again.

Chef I grow the hot stuff all the time. Just forgot to take pictures before they all got processed.

Gardens are done here. They’re throwing the S-word around here Tuesday. 😞 I still planted spinach and lettuce, it will warm up again.

YooperDog send some of that 50-60 down this way. It was 97 this morning when we checked after finishing an inspection, really about 1:30 by the time I checked. I was soaked & parched at the same time. Same went for Florida where we had to do one yesterday. I liked North Carolina where we had some work to do earlier in the week & it was 72.

craigrice I’m with calldoctoday . When you wake extra early to get a quick start to the day, drink a fast cup of coffee, and the heat index is over 100’F it’s just too hot. I would shovel snow over this heat. But I guess there are those who would prefer the heat The grass is always greener on the other side…

I have great heating & Air conditioning in my office. It works great! Except that it is confused. The heat works fantastic in the Summer like you would not believe. The A/C works better than any system I have ever seen, in the Winter…

Chef Well, its kinda like this. If you think the A/C is not working too good, then spend a little time outside. Suddenly you we will find that A/C is working fantastic. Chili peppers will do the same thing…

Summers are to short up here and this year it has been chaotic with all the rearranged activities due to C-19. These colder temps are about six weeks earlier than normal. We have a couple of motorcycle trips still on the books for this season, we are going to have to head south just to find some good weather. With the cooling temps though it signals the coming cold smoking season, something to look forward to.

102 degrees here today, cold and snow Tue. & Wed. Guess the gardening is done here. One more hot day and I’m heading to the field in the morning to pick tomatoes to can before the weather sets in.

@Fat-Bob You must be in Montana. I was shocked when on assignment in Montana as one day it was 106 & I did not realize it got that hot there, then a few days later it was down into the teens & 20s with snow. Amazing.

I checked again just the other day & they were completely wiped out of anything canning, jars, lids, anything. Oh the only thing they had was Ball books & it looked like no one had even touched those good books.
