If you’re looking for something good to watch while locked down
-
If you haven’t seen Band of Brothers, The Pacific, or Generation Kill, I would highly recommend those serieses.
-
I’m watched Molly’s Game on Netflix tonight, no clue how that movie snuck
Past me in 2017 but if you like poker or just good movies that was excellent all around. Awesome cast amazing acting and great story! -
betsyLynn you likely love Generation Kill as well its based on an embedded Rolling Stone reporter’s experience of the invasion of Iraq.
-
I didn’t know about Molly’s Game, either, until I saw it pop up on one of the movie channels several months ago. Great movie.
We’ve watched all sorts of stuff during this time, and we’re currently working our way through Star Trek: Discovery. It’s very good. We haven’t seen it before now, as we didn’t have much interest in paying $10/month to watch one show, but the CBS streaming channel is free for 30 days right now.
Band of Brothers was outstanding, and The Pacific is on my list.

Tex_77 “SPEARS!! GET YOUR SELF UP HERE!” That entire scene gives me chills…now I have to watch it. Then of course “the amazing thing wasn’t that he hooked up with I company, the amazing thing was once he did, he came back!”
-
Oh god I forgot “okay, I want mortars and grenades on that roof till it’s gone, when it’s gone I want 1st going straight in, forget going around”
-
Fun fact Spears and I share a birthday!
The only hope you have is to accept the fact that you’re already dead. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you’ll be able to function as a soldier is supposed to function: without mercy, without compassion, without remorse. All war depends upon it. - Spears

I recommend Yellowstone if anyone is looking for a series to watch. There are 2 seasons out now and it’s from the Paramount channel.

Brian Schneider I’d like to take Team Orange to the train station.

Tex_77 That’s awesome, think i’ll rewatch season 1, Love when Rip choke slams one of those brothers henchmen getting out of the car…hahahaha Just finished season 3 of Ozark-best season yet, and Billions on Showtime is also at the top of my list, can’t wait for the next season to come out.

Parksider I need to get back in to Ozark, i started watching season 1 quite a while ago, but never finished it. I love Billons! I need to get caught up on Homeland as well.

Tex_77 I just made it through season one of Ozark, and just about shut off season 2, stay with it season 3 is killer. Billions has such a diverse group of characters…Wags is my boys! that guy cracks me up…
Parksider Lol guess I know what you are into now! I love Dollar Bill!

I thought of a couple of other series that I should be ashamed I forgot to mention they are as follows:
- Deadwood - must watch, but be sure you have the kids put to bed
- Justified
- Homeland
- Burn Notice
Here are a few foodie shows I would recommend
- No Reservations
- Ugly Delicious - Netflix, the first season was hilarious and a lot the things he was saying when he was cooking at his home are things I say in my own kitchen.
- BBQ with Franklin - PBS you might have to search hard to find, but there are episodes out there available

White Collar (1st show I ever got my wife to binge-watch)
Lock and Key (odd but good)The fight in deadwood with the eyes and the log was ROUGH to watch but yes, that was a great show, I notice you have 2 on their with Timothy Oliphant, great psycho even when not playing the bad guy. He’s also excellent in the Santa Clara Diet, I haven’t watched season 3 yet but 1 was amazing and 2 was pretty good.
Also, for anyone who somehow hasn’t watched them:
The Wire
The Shield
Both are GRITTY and last seasoning of the shield is almost impossible to rewatch but worth it -

Tex_77 Just finished next series of Chef Show with Roy Choy and John Faveruax. I’m a huge fan of Roy’s, would love to get to his place to eat. John just worships the ground Roy walks on and they have become friends after filming the Chef movie. very cool story.
