Drink of Choice

Just reading this at work. For all of us who can’t find or afford Pappy Van Winkle.

I have tried some of the Weller & Maker’s Mark Special Reserve that someone gave to me as a gift & it was real nice. I try to keep it as long as possible.
-
We sure got a lot of serious drinkers on here. Orange team rules the liquor Dept.
-
The Rebel Yell 100 proof just arrived today. Anxious to give it a try. Our VP of sales says it’s as close to Pappy as you can get.

PapaSop I haven’t had Rebel Yell in years!

The 80 proof is ok but the 100 proof is more along the lines of Pappy. Will grab a bottle tomorrow. -

Only get a case or two at a time. Haven’t tried it. -
PapaSop I was just thinking you probably have some pretty cool signs/neons/etc that are probably taking up space in your warehouse, maybe you should donate some to Meatgistics for a live drawing give away!

We do and I’d love to but… Even those are being allocated. It’s trendy but bourbons are a hot commodity these days. I remember 10-15 years ago when names like Weller, Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace and on and on would sit and collect dust. Now, highly allocated and flying of the shelf. -
PapaSop I wasn’t overly impressed with the Larceny I bought recently…good, not great. I’ll have to look for the Rebel Yell.
Joe Hell
Agreed. The Larceny is ok at best. Does have a good price point. -

Never tried it. We get 11 cases a month. Gone in two days. Always a back ordered item. -
I checked out the blue team on Truthfinder, you people have a lot of issues that needs to change to Team Orange.

Just tried the Rebel Yell 100. Both neat and rocks. Was surprised that neat was very smooth for a 100 proof. Rocks was good as well. Although I don’t mix very often it would be good with ginger ale and a dash of bitters.

Also had a new product come in today. What caught my eye was that it’s from Washington State. Perhaps Joe Hell has heard of this. Woodinville bourbon whiskey.

PapaSop I’ve had woodinville many times buts it’s been a while. I even poured along side them at a wine & spirits event…those guys got me wasted! In another coincidence I was just looking at buying a bottle of the rebel yell 100 online but the shipping was nearly as much as the bottle. Hopefully I can find it tomorrow when I’m camping out for the Weller!

I’ve had neither. Enjoy and thanks for sharing. Better yet just send me a bottle!!!

Nice. Good luck on the camp out. Lol. The Rebel is retailing at $20 give or take. Good price for a drinkable bourbon these days. The Woodinville is a bit higher price wise. Is it worth a taste?
