Only have my coffee early morns so nothing added. A nice cup of hot chocolate with a little peppermint is a good warmer upper. Might need this weekend. 6-9 inches of white stuff expected. Argh.

Random add in here… brett and I were discussing the difference of tonic water vs club soda vs seltzer water the other day… Which would you guys choose more often than not on a simple mixed drink? If you want to drink a bit of rum or whiskey, but not totally straight, what do you recommend to mix it with and why?

Whiskey or Bourbon Old Fashioned uses a splash of club soda.

For Gin you can make your own seltzer with soda stream like device. I add a little fresh lemon juice, a sliver of ginger and carbonate. Pour that over a jigger of gin and a little lime and life is good.

                          I ain’t scared.

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

Tex_77 I bought a bottle of the Heaven’s Door tonight and I’m not as impressed as I hoped I would be. For the price ($55) I was expecting a better product. I’d take Bulliet for less Thanh the price over this any day. I’m just headed out the door to visit a neighborhood bar in Portland called “Tasty n Daughters” for a Weller ‘Antique’. I’ll let you know how it goes!
