      snuffy I cure mine sometimes for two weeks, doesn’t seem to hurt a thing, I just make sure I equalize before I smoke. I don’t use as much salt or cure either.

        snuffy The nitrites will cover you for at least 9 days (sometimes longer) so if you are going to keep it longer than that you might want to consider reapplying some nitrites.
