I was in our local Kroger supermarket today and noticed that they had ribs on sale. Regular pork ribs for 3.99 lb and Kansas City Style with no seasoning, which looked like BB ribs and then next to it regular BB ribs with no seasoning. Both BB ribs listed for 4.99 lb. I think they forgot to stock the freezer with the right products.
My real question is it worth the extra dollar for BB or regular ribs if properly cooked.

JerkyMan In my opinion those are both over priced, but I don’t cook alot of ribs either.

I greatly prefer spare ribs over back ribs. They take an hour or two longer to cook, but they are worth every moment of that.

Yes, those prices are pretty steep for “sale,” but prices are up all around with what’s going on.

Tex.77 and TexLaw are right about overpriced. And in my opinion, I always prefer spare ribs over baby back. Like TexLaw said, a bit longer but better in the long run.

Price seems about right at $3.99 sometimes $3.29 for here in upstate NY, l but I only do loinback ribs only. Not a fan of St Louis ribs. I usually buy at Costco in the 3 pack.

baby back or St. Louis (Seaboard cuts a real good St. Louis rib) I put pork roast and chop on them ONLY. put sauce in a crock on the side of the smoker
Pork roast and chop is amazing on any pork product. low and slow. I don’t mess with vinegar spritzes. leave the lid closed
