RON PARRISH good deal, 3 is about my limit with my current freezer space. If my sons get one, guess who’s freezer space they take up, which I don’t mind as long as they understand it could be consumed at anytime by the owner of the freezer.

Between me and the three sons, we have four in the freezer and 14 tags left unfilled. Gun and bow. Cmon Wi., really! Oh, btw, the gun kill was down this year statewide. Hmm.

PapaSop me and my son took 4 bucks total. We have 10 doe tags We will not be using. Plus the week of Christmas we could take 4 more does that don’t count against our bag limit. I think it’s ridiculous.

cdavis PapaSop The number I see laying along the road should indicate WI could let us harvest more. Unless the law makers like higher insurance rates and spending time and resources cleaning up the roadkill.

Here is why the number of deer are down in north Wi. My son took this pic on sun of opening weekend . I cant even tell you how many hours I have sat between bow, gun and now muzzle loader to see only 5 deer . I’m sitting in the stand right now with the smoke pole hoping the fresh snow and below zero temps get them moving.

hey vegetarians, my food poops on your food!

Makes it alot easier sitting then the old days when i would sit in a foxhole with a wool blanket . I must be getting old…or smarter

kyle I hear ya, I don’t sit unless it’s in my permanent shack or a pop up with heat. It’s a difference of getting cold in 3 hours and leaving or sitting sun up to sun down. A lot of people say that’s not hunting but in the end when I can sit out there from sun up to sun down not having to move or go get lunch I’m spending more hours in the woods compared to other folks. To each their own style of hunting. I have seen and shot way more deer with this method. I am looking at buying two more permanents this year for my other property. Here is the one I built a few years back. I just blacked out the inside and window framing is blacked out now too since this pic. 14D18738-6845-4092-B573-AC4B167E30D0.jpeg C6FC069C-B7E8-4D66-B1A7-602083B4308B.jpeg

Nice, nothing wrong with being comfortable. As you said it allows you to put in more hours.
