What are you hunting/fishing?

I buy doe tags for those smart does. I try to get my meat first.
I don’t know if I’d call them “smart”

I had a doe tag. The problem is when the deer 15 yards from you and on alert, do you want to get busted while drawing your bow and educate her even more or risk wounding a moving deer?
I seldom will draw my bow and take a shot at deer staring right at me and on-alert, but will wait for them to put there head down or look the other direction.
For me, its enough of a challenge to make a clean, ethical archery shot on a deer that is not on-alert.
I do like to get the smart old does out of the herd when ever the opportunity presents itself. Smart does teach wariness to their clueless fawns!
Most of the above doesn’t apply when rifle hunting.

My cousin and his wife shot these two studs from the same blind within 5 minutes of one another last weekend here in Kansas. His wife is also 7 months pregnant…

bocephus yea all night time pictures so far but they have started staying till almost daylight. So I’m hoping that 1 of them will just start staying a little bit longer. It’s still nice to know that they are in the area.
