Walton's Mixer with other grinders

The ID of the LEM hub is 2.125. The 3/4 x 6 spline shaft seems to fit perfectly. Saturday our daughter made a mistake mixing the seasonings on a 25 lb batch and we had to double it and it turned the overfull mixer load fine.

RandyNight So, is the waltons mixer hub 2"?? Now I see how the Waltons mixer will fit many grinder manufacturers. (this is good!) A 2" mixer hub will fit any grinder hub larger than 2" but obviously not smaller. IE: LEM at 2.125, Cabelas 2.5
seems everyone uses a 3/4" x 6spline shaft to drive it allLooks like Cabelas mixers will only fit Cabelas grinders with both being 2.5" Go figure…

RandyNight This speaks volumes as to the quality of the Waltons mixer. I would never do that with my Cabelas unit! I don’t have that much faith in the gears.

Walton mixer hub just a bit over 2" but a slip fit

My new 50# Waltons mixer fits on my LEM #8. Ran over 200# through it Saturday. My son was thinking he was getting a cheap grinder since I purchased a #32. Sorry
RandyNight You happen to have a picture of the two mated up?

Grimpuppy It still set up from our last sausage day

No go with Grandpa’s #12 Stimson, it has a square shaft!

I’ll bet that old beast has heard a few stories over the years!

Nice Jeep in the background. CJ model?

Mike Sample Yep, 78 model. Our 19 yo twins have that for one of their projects. We’ve learned to rebuild the T150 3 speed in it. Not running in quite top shape yet, but has new wheels and tires. Teenage priorities… Sat in the weeds at our son-in-laws for a few years.
Mama and me have a 93 YJ, one of the boys has an 06 TJ for daily driver.

PapaSop I like all the safety features. They don’t build them like that anymore.

Yep, one of our kid’s friends who is in his 30s is without half an arm because of a grinder when he was about 9 years old, and I heard of another small boy losing an arm several years ago. Stomper stayed in that one and it was never turned on on our sausage day. #32 worked too well!

So I’m thinking about getting a Walton’s 50 lber and just want to make sure. These will fit my #22 Weston pro series, correct?

PapaSop Beast is correct. I think with the head it is a tad over 100 lbs! Has a regular 56 frame style electric motor in it with an oil gearbox.

Looks like I answered my own question, and we’ll be good there. Now to decide whether to order now, or wait until a livestream and a discount code…

Waiting to place an order myself. Curious to see the new website, and the possibility of an intro code?? Hmm.
