I have a waring chamber vacuum sealer I love it took some getting use to . I Have had 4-5 food saver sealers the sealers were not that bad but the price of the bags was a killer and availability . The difference between a regular sealer and a chamber sealer is like black and white. So much to list how long you can seal the price of bags the quality of the seal time after time I could go on and on my chamber sealer the chamber is not that big they say you can seal up to an 11’’ bag but I can seal up to a 13 1/2 ‘’ Bag. the Vac Master I think is probably top of the line but for the price the waring is a great machine. I have two things I wish it had though is one a place to wrap the cord second is that it did not run as long just to make a bag but I use a old $99 dollar food saver to make my bags and save wear and tare on my chamber sealer.
Larry Macaluso That is a great tip to use the cheap foodsaver for bag making. Thanks

I have been looking to purchase a P200 Multivac chamber machine. Has anyone had experience with this machine? I do know it is a little more expensive. I don’t want to regret my purchase and wish I bought a different machine.

I don’t believe it is available in the US. It is a commercial machine. I am very happy with my VacMaster VP215. I researched a lot of chamber sealers. I chose the VP215 because it fit my needs and the chamber size, It is 1" taller than most models inside. Once you start getting into the larger capacity machines, their weights really go up as well. The VP215 weighs in at 84 pounds and the VP 320 weighs in at 220 lbs. You really need to look at what you are going to use it for. You will find the majority of the machines out there are all now made in China. The one you are looking at is made in Germany.

JoeB None of the small machines will accommodate quarts standing upright. I have 5" from floor to top, it will hold 3 quarts lying on their sides at on time

johnsbrewhouse thanks. Thought I read about a Med level machine that could do 4 upright

JoeB They would have to have enough clearance inside to fit the jar. A quart narrow lid Ball brand jar with band is just over 7" tall, so you would need over 7" of clearance inside to fit a quart. Most of the lids on the machines are doomed and the floors have ribs, so the jars don’t sit flat either. Have not tried mine with ball jars yet.

Well I’m a lot more stupid then i look. the vp215 has some good reviews. Price i saw was around a $1k the vp220 apx $1350 but i understand the dry pump is loud. My Weston 2300 dry pump is sort of loud but not annoying

Most of the VP220 are out of stock, so are the VP 215 if you go searching for them. They are shipped from China, so you can understand why. The VP220 is about $50 more than the VP215.

JoeB Check the WebstaurantStore for pricing, they are out of stock too, but $1049 and free shipping. Google that name or VP220 and then follow their link

What do you think about the LEM vac seal. They do have a 5y warranty
-
JoeB I would still choose the VP215, I paid $999. The chamber is taller, 5" compared to 3.5". Yes the warranty might be nice, but I can fix most anything that might break after the 1 year warranty, plus they offered a five year warranty for an extra $140 from the WebstaurantStore if you wanted to purchase it.
