We used our #22 Grinder and 11 lb Sausage Stuffer with ground pork and pepperoni to make our favorite Supreme Pizza Bratwurst. When we were done we gave some to the audience and then wanted to find something to cook the rest of it on. Well, luckily a booth directly behind us was Burch Barrel (burchbarrel.com). Burch Barrel sells some seasonings and apparel but the thing that impressed me the most was the BEAST we cooked on!

It is a tripod system with a wood and/or charcoal-burning base suspended below a cooking grate that could be raised about 3-4 feet above the heat source or lowered until it was directly on top of it. The distance between the heat source and your cooking surface was controlled by a pistol grip slider and a simple locking mechanism that either attaches or detaches from the cooking system with a twist of the lid. Both the lid and the base had plenty of vents so between the vents and moving the cooking surface up or down you have an incredible range of temperatures you can cook or smoke on.

The system is also self-leveling, the solid carbon steel packable legs give you the power to make adjustments easily, so nothing rolls around on your cooking surface.

Anyway, that thing was freaking awesome, cooked the brats perfectly and had other things on there at the same time and really helped us out so if you are in the market for some awesome cooking pieces (as <bdi>Tex_77</bdi> and @twiliiams always seem to be) check them out at Burch Barrel V2 | Over Fire Grill, Smoker and Fire Pit

Grills are like guns, <bdi>Tex_77</bdi> .
Once you get a enough of them, spouses no longer notice when one or two extras show up.

This thing looks like a marriage between a fire pit and a grill. Not sure I will be buying one anytime soon but it looks impressive.

Did you ask anyone how you clean out the ashes? I hope it has a removable cover on the bottom or something so you don’t have to shovel ashes out from the top.
