<![CDATA[Walton's 33# stuffer]]>Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn’t find a post about it. The 33# Walton’s stuffer is new to me and I haven’t even used it yet. I’ve got 100 pounds or more of meat for sausage when I get my table set up for it. I’m wondering how sturdy the stuffer is on its base. Does it need to be clamped to the table? Would it be better to remove the base and permanently attach it to the table? I don’t need the table space for anything else really so it wouldn’t be inconvenient for it to be bolted down if it’s necessary.

The attachment can be permanent or temporary, but you need a way to keep it from moving while in use.

I prefer a temporary method so it can be removed from the table for cleaning/maintenance and to free up table space.

Some folks report using large suction cups to the base and having good success with them. Another option is to mount the stuffer to a board. Then C clamps are used to attach the whole thing to a corner of your table.

If you are looking for a permanent attachment, that usually means drilling holes in the table top and possibly the stuffer base as well, then bolting everything together.
