Because of our township, we can’t have another out building because we have a garage. So we built custom on the trailer. It was a work around. We would have probably have put up a prefab cooler inside the garage, but the in-laws had it full of their stuff.

I have been thinking of building a processing house for years & that might help, although I would like a freezer section too perhaps. I would probably consider a typical exterior finish to stay in context with the house, lots of air circulation, plenty of Styrofoam type insulation, probably epoxy painted concrete slab on grade for the floor, & RFPs (Marlite) for the wall & ceiling finishes. Then though I wonder if after all that, I would just be better trying to find a good used walk in that someone is moving out. I have heard there are good deals to be found out there if you are patient & ready. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

There’s a lot of videos and information on the how the coolbot works. It basically acts as a thermostat that overrides the one in the a/c. It also has a defroster to keep it from icing up. These things are great as long as you don’t cheap out on the insulation.

I’m not the one doing it, so I’m not positive about the plan. The box might have the gfci breakers, I just don’t know myself. I’ll pass along some of your concerns. As it is, there is no power being run since the trailer is unplugged. It’s just a work in progress. We always err on the side of caution with these things as my husband and myself are both safety conscious people. In fact the shop is already equipped with a fire extinguisher and first aid kit. Everything will be checked and double checked before use.
