The first class is deer processing, so breaking down a carcass into cuts, the 2nd class will be making deer snack sticks.

I want the people who come to the 2nd class to leave with some finished product. To do that I need to make some ahead of time. So I am planning on doing a process stream for making this and I want to do it either on a week night, after normal business hours, or on a weekend? My question is this, what would people be most likely to be able to attend? A Saturday mid-day one or a week night at 6 pm?

It was definitely the worst black ice crash in my career. They had responded to an accident on I-675 caused by black ice. While they were attempting to render aid to victims of the first crash, a driver came through at “normal highway speed”, which was way too fast for the conditions and especially an emergency scene. The driver lost control and killed Officer Kalama instantly, FF O’Toole died after being medivaced by helicopter. FF Arnold was able to return to work after several months of rehab. I was on the Rifle Detail for Officer Kalahan’s funeral. It definitely left an impression about how dangerous that stuff is.
Fast forward to December 16, 2016 The same type situation and one of our officer was on I-75 responding to an accident. He was hit and pinned between his cruiser and a car unable to stop. He lived because another of our officers got to him quick enough to get a tourniquet on his leg, but he lost his leg.
Highways with ice are one of the most dangerous places on earth you can be. Especially that black ice. Stay safe out there.

Most lakes and ponds we don’t see anyone else. Getting off the ice at dark or low vis can make it a bit of a challenge finding your way back, but it sure can be pretty out there with all the stars shining. If you go out on the big waters, Great Lakes or large bodies of water you need to pay attention to winds because of ice movements, you don’t want to be on the wrong side of the fracture. They will come and get you, but your equipment stays behind.
