If it is not mentioned it may be cause for concern.<br />
For some, other chemicals leaching from plastic pouches may be an issue<br />
Reusable silicon sous vide bags are becoming more popular but have other drawbacks, cleaning, sterilizing, drying, etc.</p>

Used the Walton’s 3mil bags. Did not melt or lose the seal. About a 4 minute boil. Just my take on this.<br />

Would I do it again? no, the bags were getting uncomfortably pliable.<br />
If I don’t necessarily need to boil to cook the product I have taken the bags to 190F in sous vide</p>

I do not know what makes them “boilable” but I know years ago when first looking into sous vide that sometimes when you vac sealed a bag the the seal itself would fail from the heat.</p>

They have a temperature limitation. Walton’s does offer boilable chamber pouches.</p>
