Deer in the yard

twilliams I hate driving my truck on. I usually only do that if the ice is two feet or better. But then you have to worry about pressure ridges. Usually I just walk on. I made a smitty sled for when I have to do long walks. Makes towing it so much easier. I need a 4 wheeler…lol! I’m an idiot. I drive up to two hours away one way to fish.

YooperDog yeah they are pretty cool. My brother might start building some. He is pretty handy. There is a Facebook site called Track Sled Builds of the North. A lot of good info for someone with a welder and some mechanical know how. My brother builds his race cars so I think he could tackle this.

ND Mike I have seen a couple of YouTube sites. I was tempted to chop up my Cat and go that route but I have plenty of projects here in various stages and I really don’t think my wife would be excited to see another started. I promised I would have things in my garage winding down by spring. Besides I have a pretty big project on the back burner that is going to take up some space and time when I get the go ahead from the boss.

YooperDog The lake I used to fish had roads plowed, almost needed a map and road signs there were so many tracks. I didn’t drive out until I knew the ice was thick enough. Stayed away from inlets and outlets and weedy areas.
