I didn’t have any smaller bag rolls and did not want to waste my bag material for 150 grams of salami portion so decided to experiment a little.

Because my vaccum sealer has an open back I created a bag (out of the roll) that was small enough to fit through the open back and sealed my 11” bag in two portion. I cut a little v shape in the middle of the bag by folding the bag in two and sealed on each side. I then filled my sections and sealed/label and off to the freezer it went.

Why would I want to do that well because if I have friends coming over I don’t need 350 grams of one kind of salami. Also wanted to make portion for when my sons come home from college (to bring back)

Is that a Vacmaster Pro350? Have you had any problems with it? The first one I got the vacuum pump never came on and I returned it and got another one. It worked great for awhile. Now the pump still runs but there’s no vacuum. Any ideas if I’m doing something wrong? Now I’m back to using my old cheap FoodSaver, never have had any problems with it.
