Dr_Pain You don’t like my flashing “W” icon!!! Sounds like a Team Blue complaint for sure, since the color is orange… JK I removed the flashing and fixed the view on that.

Dr_Pain If you have not received a reward for passing 500 posts, I will get that fixed soon. I’ll talk with Jonathon and we’ll make sure we are on top of it.

Dr_Pain We probably need to revisit the group membership for Regular Contributors and Power Users. If you reach those milestones currently, you should have the ability to add the tag next to your name, but you have to manually do that and adjust the tags by your name on your own.

We now have a Feedback category of Meatgistics https://meatgistics.waltonsinc.com/category/60/feed-back In that category we have 2 subcategories, Report and Issue and Suggest Features. Pretty self-explanatory but use Report and Issue for when something is wrong or struggling on Meatgistics and Suggest Features when you have an idea on something that might make Meatgistics more fun or work better. Austin and I just went through budget last night and we socked some away for Meatgistics upgrades this year, so if you have an idea and it can be done there is a good chance we will at least try to do it! I like the intent, but I think you will have to work really hard to inform the members who are less frequent users of Meatgistics that it is out there and what its for.

Most site users will just post these kinds of topics under the general topic heading unless they are very familiar and/or frequent members and are familiar with the site and how the categories are structured.

Now Festivus(see Seinfeld), is for airing of grievances and feats of strength!

I guess I should be more wordly on those Seinfeld episodes.

So the festivus is a meeting of the mind to discuss as a group the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Yea when I read what you wrote I was thinking about a celebration of the membership, their accomplishments etc… There are a few mentions on the podcast/livecast but it is usually in passing. It would be fun to see more of a celebration of accomplishments. This could give Austin and Jonathon an opportunity to review those numbers and make the promotions known and celebrated, and rewarded.

I’ll give you an example… I passed the Regular Contributor and nothing! I passed the Power User and nothing! I passed the 500 mark and nothing!

All those landmarks are set in Meatgistics to mean something, are they not? Personally I don’t fret getting another badge or getting a hat or a cutting board etc… They are definitely appreciated but this won’t deter me from participating … but it may others. Having a scheduled celebration may empower the ones that feel uninspired by being “forgotten”

Well that is a grand idea! A Meatgistic Festival and livestream for promotions and recognition of its members? And special giveaways and discounts to each stratum of accomplishments (<500, 500-1000, 1000-1500, 1500-2000, 2000+)??? This could drive the membership to participate more… just a thought
