<![CDATA[Would anyone be interested in livestreaming Koch and four pilgrims hearings?]]>We were wondering if people would be interested in us Livestreaming the hearings for the Koch and four pilgrims price-fixing hearings, they are going to make their initial court appearance on August 11th. I don’t even know if we CAN do this, but it might be interesting to watch and learn a little bit more about what they did and what we think it caused.

“The Sherman Act carries a statutory maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $1 million fine for individuals and a $100 million fine for corporations.” Toss the book at them in my opinion. “Let them go and everyone just be nice” - Austin probably.

The small farm simply cannot come any where near the prices of mass produced products found in the chain stores. This has over time enabled the big chains to consolidate the markets down to a few big players. It was only a mater of time before this would happen. Thankfully, 2020 brought a great awakening to the general public and showed everyone how fragile our supply chains really are. Now we are in a situation where big business has lobbied in regulations that hinder the small meat producer selling products directly to the end consumer.

I would be interested in following this. This doesn’t affect everyone, but it does affect me, and given that this is the primary source of protein for many families, it has very long term impacts for many.
