<p dir="auto">While there may be a gap at that point on the edge of the plate, the seal between the plate face and the threaded retaining nut is usually a smooth machined surface and makes a pretty good seal. I would be surprised to see meat leak past this area .</p>

Go slow with the angle grinder so it does not overheat the plate and affect the hardness.</p>

The flat side catches the tab at the bottom.  Now I haven’t actually used it yet but it looks like it will work.  I’ll let you all know if it does once I can use it</p>

The Toledo plates have a flat edge that won’t allow it to fit in the Walton’s grinder. You would need an Enterprise plate with one or three notches.</p>
