<![CDATA[Vegan or Vegetarian Sausage]]>Okay guys, Don’t hang me form the nearest tree, but I have a Bride that has several people coming to her reception who don’t eat meat and would like alternatives to real sausage.

Does anyone have a good recipe for vegan or vegetarian sausage they would recommend?

Reavis has a whole (very short) chapter on vegetarian sausage making. Some of them do sound interesting. Black Bean and smoked corn sausage, Spicy Tempeh sausage, Apple tofu sausage, and Portabello sausage among others.

But apparently it was pretty rundown but now it’s cleaned up and busy as ever if you go on the weekends.

The Spinach and Feta sausage seasoning worked well but I don’t think we get the texture exactly how we wanted it and I gave up when her interest wained.

I researched vegan bratwurst recipes, vegan sausage recipes, and vegan sausage wedding recipes and got alot of different ones. I won’t say vegi-wurst doesn’t exist, but it never really interested me so I never researched it.

I am pretty much a carnivore when it comes to sausage. I would try a vegi-sausage if the opportunity was there, but I have not gone looking for them.
