<![CDATA[Making Summer Sausage with a Bowl Chopper?]]>I’m thinking of making Summer Sausage using the Caraway & Onion Summer seasoning using my Bowl Chopper instead of using a grinder. Has anyone tried this?

I know on mine, there are areas where it looks like the coating has worn through from repeated cleaning and general wear and tear.

After that, I washed it down and sanitized it with Clorox and water.

Sure. Just to clarify, his grinder is badged with a Tor-Rey label. As I understand it, they are now marketed as Pro-cut.

What I like about the chopper is that seems to be better at creating a good emulsion/binding.

The chopper will get get you a finer emulsion, but you will still want to run everything through the pro-cut coarse and fine plates.

A guy has a like-new #12 Pro-cut for sale on FB market place along with a ton of extra plates, knives and other swag for $500. Wish I needed it. lol
