<![CDATA[Slicer adjustments]]>Today is a simple question.
Are the numbers on a slicer universal/standard for thickness? If Brand A is 1/4inch thick cut at #5 is brand B the same?

Someone could easily differentiate themselves by having their slicers actually indicate something. And they could make it so you could recalibrate the knob if it gets out of whack.

Although they are the same brand the numbers aren’t consistent with either machine. We’ve had the same discussion a few times and always end up scratching our heads. Lol

I don’t get it, why put them there if they arent centi or millimeters or SOMETHING but I’ve tested a bunch of different ones (people in Cabellas were looking at me a little funny) not just ours and they are all crazy. Now, it is closest to Milimeters but it isn’t exact. For example a 6 on our new ones are 4.9 mm
