Is collegian casing Halal.  was reading that in part it comes from cow hide, didn’t know if that would qualify or not.  Seen several references on the internet, but information is conflicting.</p>

He said they aren’t harvested for a few reasons (that are sort of connected), 1 the viral load is pretty high and would require special handling/testing for CWD and 2 the volume just wouldn’t be enough for it to be worth it and 3 the sizes these would provide are already well covered by sheep/beef/collagen.,</p>

I talked with my old boss here and he thought that there are some collagen that are Halal certified so I am looking again as that would be a better option.  I am also trying to find out if anyone is harvetsing veal intestines and if not why not?  He thought it might have something to do with beef small intestines being more of a high-risk material but don’t quote me on that part yet.   I’ll update as I can</p>
