I use a chamber vacuum sealer. I use both 3 and 5 mil bags of different sizes. How much oxygen protection do the standard bags give relative to the Mylar bags? Thanks

So I am told that the Mylar bags are pretty awesome and for very long term storage. Although I do not have the numbers, I see preppers using them on youtube - used in conjunction with an OA, they can go for years. I also am not sure that a standard type of chamber vacuum (I use vacmaster 210) can seal them properly. But I have not tried. But I think I heard something mentioned about the type of heatbar used for Mylar (worth checking into if you are looking for very long term storage)
