Also added hi temp mozzarella.  These came out amazing and everyone I gave some to try wants more. One of my favorites now. Hope that helps a little.</p>

We added cheese whiz to them (not the can stuff) and that worked out well.  In general I prefer pork over beef but if there was one specific sausage that I think beef is as good as pork it would be the this one.  Sorry, I know that’s not giving you a firm answer but you can’t really go wrong with beef or pork  for Philly Brat!</p>
